On Thursday 30/1/2025 25 Students and 2 teachers of the Gymnasium (2nd Grade, 13 year olds) of Anixi in Attica, Greece had the chance to visit the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at the National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos. With the guidance of 5 INN Researchers they visited 4 Materials Processing labs and they had their first glimpse in the nanoworld by observations on the Electron Microscope. They discussed how new Materials are reforming our world and about the exciting new technologies that are about to appear. They learned about Ceramic Materials and applications in Space, 2D materials for Microelectronics, thin films for new magnets, new materials for photovoltaics. The session lasted about 3 hours minutes.
