On May 24, 2024, we engaged with 12 enthusiastic 14-year-old students from Class C1 of the 2nd Gymnasium of Kalabaka in Greece through an interactive online session. The students toured three advanced laboratories at NCSR Demokritos—Innovative Photovoltaic Materials, Transmission Electron Microscopy, and Scanning Electron Microscopy—where they learned about the applications of advanced materials, the importance of microscopes in studying them, and materials for sustainability. The discussion also covered job prospects in the field, and the students were particularly interested in how their school Physics curriculum relates to our work. The session concluded with the students completing questionnaires, reflecting their keen interest and engagement.
